What Should Children do in Indoor Playground When an Earthquake Happens?

On August 4th, a strong earthquake brought down buildings in mountainous central Italy, trapping residents and sending others fleeing into the streets, with at least 14 people killed. With the introduction of modern technical, people are now more capable of fighting against many disasters like diseases, injuries, man-made assails and so on. But when it came to the problem of natural catastrophe, men became helpless because there is nothing we can do to stop it from happening. The only thing that we can do is to try our best to diminish the harm caused by these ruthless disasters. Today I'm going to talk about some useful ways to helps kids in indoor playground to escape. What can children do at indoor playground when an earthquake happens?

Firstly, education is no doubt the best way to spread useful things. Indoor playground should not only provide equipment for kids to play with, they should also start self-protection classes once or twice a month to inform children of the importance of self-protection when they were strokes by earthquake, and at the same time equip them with practical skills to escape disasters with the help of professors. None should hold the view that it is too early to have kids learn these things, because earthquake or other disasters are just happening anywhere and anytime.

Secondly, indoor playgrounds owner should make sure that they've got enough medical stuff and food material to support kids and its stuff for days if, unfortunately, they are trapped in the building. Under such situation, kids in the indoor play center would burst out crying and shouting due to fear. Therefore, babysitter should calm down first, gathering them together and encouraging them to stay strong. It is all right to tell them lies about hope but not directly speaks out the truth to the kids.

Lastly, the first thing that will trigger children's sadness and fear is when an earthquake happens without their parents being around. They would wonder whether they are left out or abandoned by their beloved one or not. So the family education also plays an important role to calm kids down in the mess of indoor play center when they are not at company. Therefore, parents should devote as much time as possible to the education of cultivating their character of independence in daily life.

In conclusion, it is more important to arm kids in indoor playground with the capability to help them out in an earthquake rather than have them waiting there for rescue.
